Its cries were ignored. By this point Diddy knew that whatever voices the creature was making were just cheap imitations. Not anywhere in its body would you find an ounce of humanity, as all it wanted was to feed. Could DK really have been dead? Was this thing what finally got him, and not one of K. Rool's schemes? Whatever happened to DK, what stood just inches away from Diddy making shrill mockery of his voice wasn't going to tell him. It began to drop the act when nobody came running to see it, instead beginning to thrash about the room and knock over whatever was in its way. Slowly Diddy creeped along the back of the room towards the window. If he could just get to the Banana Hoard he could hide out there until morning when the beast would retreat to its den away from the treehouse. Suddenly a board creaked. Diddy froze. The creature stood alert. It slowly spun its neck around to face the now trembling monkey. A wide, hideous grin spread across the corners of its gaping mouth. Without even flexing its jaw it let out a raspy and chilling emote of glee. "Oooooh... Bananaaaaa..."
