Facts about mushroom corals, AKA Corallimorphs: Corallimorphs are animals, and are close relatives of the famous stony corals, though they effectively are a type of coral. They lack hard skeletons, and exist as single fleshy polyps, though are often accompanied by other polyps of the same type due to reproducing by fission, budding, or fragmentation. Their mouth’s exist at the center of their mushroom-discs, and are depicted here as heart shapes. These corals also possess a level of mobility, being to detach from rocks and let the currents carry them away. They are incredibly popular in the saltwater aquarium hobby due to ease of care, requiring only low light, and coming in an extreme variety of colors, sizes, and textures. Being so easy to care for, some aquariums exist that have been totally infested by these corals!

The names under the vineshrooms here are the genus of mushroom coral that they were based upon.
