I stopped playing Pokemon after second gen and refused to play any of the games that were released after Crystal. Recently, I picked up a copy of Sun and fell in love with it.
Watching Joel's Pokemon streams made me think of Joel as some sort of trainer. I went with a Team Skull look just for the sake of Skeletons. Also, I personally think golisopod is pretty metal. Joel already has told us about his favorite pokemon. That is why I threw Scyther and haunter in there.

P.S. I really recommend Sun and Moon to all of the "Gen oners" out there. It has a throw back feeling to it.
