My theory of the game is that the batter is a father who is lost in his madness. Sets out to kill family friends and pets and ends up killing his wife and kid with his bat. Including the cat that seemed to be meowing at him non-stop. The switch turned off is just the batter finishing his own life. (thats what I saw at least)
