I wrote a note out but it didn't save so I'll write a part of it out here.
The background isn't photo-shopped in, it is 3D as well with a photographed texture which on an angle looks paper thin.
The only thing I used Photo-shop for is the words/sentences whatever you want to call them and some cropping.
The program I used known as MMD or MikuMikuDance was for most of this and the effects were part of a plug-in. I used another program for modeling Doc. Vine-shroom.
