Happy early Thanksgiving to you, Joel (or Happy Easter, depending on when you read this).
Does the strange Viking bird seem familiar to you? He should. That's the snuskråka, and I first drew him here: https://booru.vineshroom.net/post/view/100612search=user_id%3D21299
I drew him as a hybrid of a Eurasian magpie and hooded crow. Speaking of which, many corvids are among the smartest animals on the earth, and scientists in Hispaniola think they may have discovered a possible hybrid between the white-necked crow and common raven, seeing as it has vocal patterns of both species. Its vocalizations are described as, "a series of liquid bubbling sounds, squawking, and babbling, mixed with sweet and harsh notes", including calls like that of a raven. I posted a link to it in the URL, and I was curious: do any birds where you live sound like that?
